On the corner of the Haymarket, this busy pub has a comfortable interior, refurbished in 2020, decorated with historic prints of the pub, locality and local sports teams. The bar looks out over a large central area with a raised mezzanine floor to one side and arches leading through to a restaurant. 7 hand pumps serve a varied selection of real ales. Food served all day from the Nicholson’s and 'Pie House' menus. Children are permitted only for meals up to 9pm. The pub can be very busy when matches are played at Murrayfield or Tynecastle. May close early when not busy.
