MAY 2025 - Now open Tues - Sun. New food partners fr 5th June - Dick's Scrannery.

APR 2025 - Expected to close soon for refurbishment then reopen all week.

NOV 2024 - Due to issues affecting Summerhall the bar is currently being run on a part-time basis by Barney's Brewery (Thu & Fri 5-12, Sat 12-12, no food), with real ale.

Interesting bar, with five rooms, in the former veterinary school that is part of the Summerhall creative hub for the arts. Old projector slides are set into the bar counter & old dental surgery equipment decorates the walls. The real ales are from Barney’s Brewery, which is just behind the bar. The quiet suntrap courtyard is billed as Edinburgh’s biggest beer garden. It gets very busy during the August festival. As well as two real ales there are up to eight draught craft beers from Barney’s and local draught gin from Pickering's is also on tap.

NOTE: Opening times are extended in August.
