A 16th-century, Grade II-listed hotel, owned by the National Trust, that retains many of its original features, including a front drinkers’ bar. Regular beers from Palmers are served, as well as beers recreated by the
Dead Brewers Society. The restaurant to the rear serves
excellent home-cooked food. A large, picturesque garden overlooks Swanage Steam Railway and Corfe Castle station, with fantastic views of the Purbeck hills. Beer festivals are held in the summer.
