Large bungalow style pub at the junction of Hangmans Lane and Laughton Common Road (B6060), which opened in 1968. Reopened in early 2016, after a period of closure, under tenants who previously ran the nearby Squirrel. The name derives from the nearby location of a gallows. Up to three real ales are on offer with Sharp's Doom Bar being regular. Guest beers are usually sourced locally, often from the Bradfield Brewery. The name has recently been lengthened to include bar and restaurant, as food has been introduced.
