A pub in the heart of the city. Part of the areas social scene since 1828. Consists of one main room with partitioned seating, a beer garden and an upstairs meeting room. The outdoor area consists of a beer garden. Mon quiz. Tue has an Acoustic Jam night of all abilities. The weekend sees local DJs take to the decks. Piped music of differing genres on other evenings.

Beer consists of five cask ales on a rotational basis from the likes of Ossett, Abbeydale, Weetwood, Little Critters, Triple Point, Full Circle, Shin Digger and Attic. Five craft keg beers available and a keg cider. International lagers available on other pumps.
