Situated in the town centre this grade II listed building started life as a 15th century coaching Inn called The Saracens Head. The name was changed to the Vine in 1763 after the grape vines growing outside. Reputed to be the oldest licensed building in Stafford, it is haunted by a young girl who has been seen in the mirror above the fireplace and also an old cellarman. There are many stories of local interest attached to the building. Breakfast is served 8 am - 11am. No function room as such, but areas can be cordoned off.
