This Pub is Permanently Closed

Opened in 1957 by John Smith’s brewery later passing to Mansfield Brewery. This pub retains many original features including a tap room, a lounge with a nice wood fronted bar, mirrored walls and a built in telephone kiosk that is now redundant, and there’s a function room.

It is a proper community pub which hosts a darts and dominoes team, a football team that plays in the Doncaster Sunday Alliance League, and a pool team that was unbeaten at the time of writing Malayan and Borneo veterans meet here monthly.

Buses on route 54 stop outside and Bentley railway station is half a mile away. Now closed and converted into two shop units (Heron Foods & Weldricks Pharmacy)
