An imposing half-timbered Inn on the A18 in the centre of the village and hard to miss! Built in the nineteenth century, it retains a traditional feel with a separate tap room, lounge and a much larger drinking area that was once several smaller rooms. The serving area is enormous compared with the rooms. Wood panelling abounds and there’s an impressive staircase to the letting rooms. There is also a snooker room, hireable on an hourly basis. Four real fires in the bar areas. Breakfast served 8am to noon. Evening meals from 4pm. Carvery on Sunday. Tuesday night is games night.
