Nestled in the Holderness countryside, Great Newsome began brewing in 2007 in renovated farm buildings. A range of beers is now brewed using barley from the farm and brewing can be seen from a viewing area. Expansion into other farm buildings in 2018, and again in 2019, increased brewing capacity to 20-barrels. A diversification in beer range to include organic and vegan beers was established in 2024 upon obtaining organic certification and the susequent purchase of the Little Valley brand. Contract brewing is carried out on behalf of other local breweries. Beer is distributed throughout the UK and overseas.
