The emphasis is on dining but, because of its size and layout, drinkers need not feel overwhelmed. The feel of the place is bright and modern with boarded flooring, plenty of comfortable seating and masses of paintings and photos on the walls. Also, someone counted 50 caricatures in the toilet! It was once a part of the large local estate of the Shrewsbury & Wem Brewery.

The five beers are from local breweries, often light/pale.

Historic Interest

Closed in 2002, it was extensively renovated and re-opened in 2009 as a smart gastro-pub.
