Cosy local pub that was aquired by Joules and re-opened following refurbishment in 2013. The interior is very traditional with lots of 'retro' features, including an impressive collection of old fire extinguishers. There is a decked area out back to enjoy in the summer. Regular quiz and board game nights are held. Food is in the informal 'pop-up kitchen' style.
Historic Interest
The pub was built in 1820, a result of the expansion in the area caused by the Flaxmill (the former church behind, St Michaels, noted for it's unusual octagonal tower, was built 10 years later).
