Derby's first micro-pub is a small free house on the edge of a tree-lined conservation area, the site of Roman Derventio and one-time Viking stronghold. Conforms to the micro-pub philosophy: one small room and passageway, no music, fruit machines or lager. The walls are decorated with a tasteful collection of framed old beer mats.
