Originally built in the 14th century, this is a friendly, traditional hilltop pub next to the village church. There is one large divided bar with log fires, which is attractively decorated with hop garlands. There is an emphasis on high quality food which is served noon-2pm Tue-Fri, noon -2-30pm Sat and noon-4pm Sun, but beer drinkers are well catered for.
