An atmospheric, mainly dining venue, set in remote location signed off the B3157 between Weymouth and Portesham. It is popular with discerning diners, especially at weekends, so it is advisable to book ahead. Has been completely refurbished recently to a high standard but resulting in a very small space for drinkers. High beer price (£5/pint) for the area.

By March 2025, their community share offer has raised over £500K of a target of £650K. The owner of the pub has accepted an offer for the freehold of the pub. They will be carrying out interviews for prospective tenants. See a recent BBC article.
