Sitting on the southern edge of Cannock Chase forest, the Park Gate is a welcome sight on the Chase. The rustic bar is popular with walkers and is friendly to dog owners. A central log burning stove has two cosy alcoves either side. Bar snacks are on offer including cobs and pork pies. The garden has a children's play area and nearby, the popular Iron age hill fort, the castle ring offers excellent views.
