Split level pub dating from the 17th century, with a distinctive Dutch-style roof and a large back garden. Extensively refurbished in 2004 and popular with the 20-40s, the pub now has a separate dining area and a heated marquee for winter drinking. Large garden with individual cabanas popular in the summer.

Historic Interest
Grade II listing:- An early 18th Century building of symmetrical appearance, 3 windows wide and of 2 storeys and dormers. Brick, now painted, beneath a gambrel roof of hand-made tiles. On the ground floor the central entrance is plain and is flanked by flat-headed near-flush windows with box frames. On the first floor the near-flush windows have cambered arches and the box frames are exposed. The dormers have flat heads. The return walls and the stacks, which have oversailing courses, are now rendered.
