Re-opened as The Piper on 3 May 2018.

Opened with new ownership on 3 May 2018 after prolonged closure and chequered history. Now a smart and welcoming pub with a Scottish theme. There is also a good range of Scotch whiskies on offer as well as food with a Scottish theme. Unusually for a pub, it displays and sells good quality original artwork.
