Large open plan bar on the edge of Windsor town centre. Recently refurbished with a tradition breweriana adorned style. Accommodation comprises nine en-suite rooms. There is also a large room at the rear with patio doors opening onto the large garden which can also serve as a function room for hire.

Adnam’s Southwold Bitter and Oakham Citra are the permanent real ales accompanied by 3 rotating guest beers as well as 2 craft keg options. For the traditional cider enthusiasts there’s a great range of at least 9 to choose from all served cool direct from the cellar. The pub is the winner of local CAMRA Branch Pub of the Year 2025 and Cider Pub of the Year 2025. A great range of Belgian bottled beers is also available for those looking for something a bit different. The Trooper has baby changing facilities. Member discounts apply to ale and cider.
