This pub on the main street opposite the memorial has two separate bars and four separate drinking areas. The back bar has a copper top covered in polished old pennies. There is also a pool table and an outside drinking area at the back. The covered hall area has a flag stone floor. A function room is available for free hire.
Re-opened 31st July 2015 after a refurbishment following a major fire in 2013. Beer Garden.
Historic Interest
The building dates from 1742. After having been owned by various breweries it ended up with the Stroud Brewery in 1920, who in turn were absorbed by Whitbread in 1963.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 1 regular beer.
