Hotel with pub & restaurant plus its own brewery.
First opened in 1695, and refurbished January 2019, the inn is the oldest part of the Moulin Hotel. Situated within the village square of Moulin, an ancient crossroads just east of Pitlochry. Full of character and charm, the inn is traditionally furnished, with two log fires.
A good choice of home-prepared local fare is available, along with its own beer, four varieties, brewed in the old coach house behind the hotel. Outdoor eating and drinking in good weather. An ideal base for outdoor pursuits, with several marked walks nearby, including Ben Vrackie, accessible directly from the inn.
Historic Interest
The original inn building, dating from 1695, had a ground floor of two rooms, with two floors above with two rooms on each. One of these rooms was once used as the local elders meeting room, discussing local residents complaints and occasionally dealing with minor miscreants, by sentencing them to be tied to the ‘Jong’ tree – Category 'C' Listed
