Large traditional Highland hotel with Bothy Bar at rear.
The hotel sits opposite the driveway to Blair Castle, one of Scotland's best loved and most visited castles, set in extensive parkland, with 725 years of history and home of the Atholl Highlanders, Britain's only private army. Blair Atholl and the surrounding area are popular for walking and biking, as well as sightseeing.
The Atholl Arms Hotel boasts a grand and imposing façade in the Victorian Highland style, which also features in the internal design, including the stunning Baronial Dining Room, complete with minstrels' gallery.
The Bothy Bar retains a traditional public bar character. Timber surrounds and overhead beams are accompanied by local railway photographs and memorabilia, with an open fire to warm you up. Situated to the rear of the hotel, there is access to the large beer garden, where you can sit and enjoy the summer sunshine, and spot the trains too.
All four ales produced by local Moulin Brewery are usually on tap in the Bothy Bar, as well as freshly cooked food, which can also be served in the garden or lounge bar. With summer opening hours from noon until late, the Bothy Bar's hours may be shorter out of season but ales can normally be brought through to the lounge bar and hotel restaurant.
