The name of this Wetherspoon pub recalls the town's origin as an ancient settlement, called Lantokay. In time, the name was forgotten, and the settlement was called 'Leigh' and then 'Street'. The pub has a large and recently extended bar area with varied seating optins as well as a partially covered garden/paio area. Immediately inside the entrance there is a real ale stand featuring CAMRA. Wide ranging display panels feature local associations such as Harry Patch (the last surviving World War 1 veteran) and Joe Strummer (of sixties band 'The Clash').
This Pub serves 3 changing beers and 3 regular beers.
