The inn dates from the 17th Century and was once a notorious haunt of smugglers, highwaymen, and cut-throats. The building has been extended to include a separate restaurant area for quiet dining, a large bright & airy conservatory and a function room ideal for weddings and other large parties. A roaring open log fire is a welcome feature during colder periods.
There are stunning views from the large beer garden. Sunday carvery is a speciality. Caravans and camper vans are able to stay overnight.
