This Pub is Closed Long Term

The former Talbot Hotel has gone through various incarnations and now (autumn 2014) emerges as a bar largely devoted to table tennis (or wiffwaff as it was once called), with several tables in the back room and a big fancy one to your left as you enter. The main front room eschews wiffwaff in favour of comfy chairs and schoolroom posters of a bygone age. It's quirky, but it sort of works, though many will find the piped music obtrusive. No real ale - the "handpumped" Felinfoel beer is believed to be on the brewery's "Shakespeare" keg system - but the bottled beers from Cardigan's Mantle Brewery, though not "real ale in a bottle " by Camra's strict standards, are unlikelyn to disappoint the open-minded.
