Historic Interest

Pub dating back to at least the 1860s as part of the Dock Cottages buildings, later known as Queens Buildings by the early 1930s. A former Argyle Brewery pub, transferred to Birkenhead Brewery, but the pub had become a Higsons pub by 1891. Demolished in the mid 1930s and a new pub of the same name built a short distance away as part of the Ilchester flats.
