Higsons pub operating from at least 1878 until at least early 2009. Described in 1990 as a live music pub with almost club hours. with a tiny bar and a large lounge, at that time selling Higsons Mild and Bitter and Boddingtons Bitter all by handpump. Building for sale in 2012.
