Historic Interest

Operating from at least 1860, An Argyle Brewery pub transferred to Birkenhead Brewery in 1866. Described in 1980 as a pleasant town pub with two small back rooms and a bar serving Whitbread Special Cask Bitter on handpump. Closed and converted to a shop but old pub sign still visible in 2017.
