Long established public house on the corner of the Birmingham Road and Jockey Road, leading into Sutton Coldfield. First established in the 18th century by proprietor John Ireland. The name suggests that the pub may have been popular with racing enthusiasts on their way to Sutton Park.

This mock-Tudor multi-gabled street-corner pub features deep bay windows and elaborate hanging lamps. A trio of flaming gas fires warm the interior of this ever-popular food-orientated venue. Pictures of old Sutton adorn the walls.
