This Pub is Permanently Closed

On the site of a former coaching inn, this is typical Greene King suburban pub: sprawling, comfortable, food-centred, offering mainstream ales. Little to disappoint but little to excite. Pleasant view of the adjacent crown bowling green, but within it's hard to avoid the multiplicity of TV screens.

Pub closed in 2019, with approval for demolition in 2021. Site to be re-used for sheltered housing.
