This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.

The ROSL is a non-profit Commonwealth private members' organisation with over ten thousand members worldwide, supporting international understanding and friendship through social, music, arts and welfare activities. The London clubhouse site is Grade I listed. Various keg beers are on offer in the Duke of York bar and opening hours given refer to bar drinks service. Rooms are available for hire for conferences and banqueting.

The ROSL is unusual amongst central London clubs for having welcomed women as members since its inception in 1910.
