This Pub is Permanently Closed

Built in 1961 by Watney's brewery to replace the bomb-damaged King's Arms nearby. Planning application to demolish in 2012 and replace with flats granted on appeal, work was never carried out. In July 2013 ground floor has no obvious alternative use apart from storage, but upper floors converted to flats by 2011. Building retains pub signage
