Reported CLOSED by 1 June 2016 and with interior renovation taking place.

Planning permission granted in early 2017 for conversion of B&B accommodation on 1st floor to offices 'with retention of Public House on ground floor'. Possibly a trojan horse but the applicant is an events company (The Ingenious Events Company Ltd) and not a property developer. No date known as yet for reopening of pub or bar on ground floor classified as planning use A4 drinking establishment.

As at end 2025 the site was surrounded by graffitied hoardings and for sale via Dutchanddutch.com
