A popular and welcoming pub near the Kennet and Avon canal, with a strong community focus. The outside area is utilised with dining pods, a decking area and a large hidden beer garden. Inside the pub is a bar area and a pool/TV room that can also be used for dining. Always two cask ales, with a third on Fridays.
In recent times the pub has been an excellent resource for the local residents, and was the recipient of the CAMRA branch Community Help award during the pandemic. The pub is now open all day throughout the year, and dining has been extended. There are regular quiz nights and it hosts local traditions such as the annual pumpkin competition and the inter-village cricket match.
