25/10/21 Licensees have surrendered lease due to poor trading post-covid.
The local community came to the rescue of this lovely 19th century freehouse when a group of 17 villagers took on the lease following the previous tenants retirement. Following a refurbishment the pub quickly opened their doors again as a fully operational pub.
Tastefully decorated, with a fine garden area and dedicated restaurant area, the pub works hard to produce a high-quality food and drinks offering.
Community Supported
The pub was leased to The Riser Christian Malford Ltd, but this was disolved in April 2019. The pub has not been run by the community group, and is now run by a couple who continue to be supported by the community group.
