Opened in July 2018, this small and comfortable single room bar close to the village centre was formerly the William Hudson & Son butcher's shop. There are references to the previous use everywhere. The decor has a rustic feel with copious amounts of timber and a variety of 'piggy' memorabilia on display. A varying range of real ales, usually from local and regional breweries, is offered from up to four hand-pulls. There is always one dark beer available. Three keg taps dispense lagers and a cider. Pork pies are sold in recognition of the bar's former use. There is a large screen TV but it is not used for sports TV. A quiz takes place on Friday evenings. The pub may stay open until 10pm on Saturdays if there is the demand. No cards - cash only.
