Opened in July 2018, this small and comfortable single room bar close to the village centre was formerly the William Hudson & Son butcher's shop. There are references to the previous use everywhere including a tiled wall now covered with pump clips, stainless steel tables and numerous photographs and memorabilia. A varying range of real ales, usually including beers from the Kirkby Lonsdale brewery, is offered from the three hand-pulls. During Autumn and Winter, a fourth hand-pull may be present and there is always one dark beer available. Pies are also sold in recognition of the bar's former use. There is a large screen TV but it is not used for sports TV. A quiz takes place on Friday evenings. The pub may stay open until 10pm on Saturdays if there is the demand. No cards - cash only.
