Located just in the centre of Bingley adjacent to a large public car park and the River Aire. Formally the "Firepit", and known locally as "The Old Fire Station", this establishment re-opened as "The Engine Room on Aire" in June 2023 and aimed at a different clientele. It is marketed as a "great value community pub". The venue is largely open-plan with the servery to the rear and smaller rooms to one side. The upstairs mezzanine above the bar now contains a pool table. Decking and seating outside includes a smoking area. Numerous television screen shows sports. Live music is played on Friday evenings. A meat raffle takes place on Tuesdays and there is a Wednesday night quiz. Details of events can be found on the pub's Facebook page.
