Historic Interest
A report in the Ipswich Journal** in Nov 1840 states that : The announcement of the marriage on the 29th, Mr Sylveston of Saxham White Horse to Mrs Clarke, late of the Woolpack, Bury St Edmunds. GK sold it in 1975 to free trade ; free until 2002 then bought by Enterprise Inns. This 18th cent. coaching inn appears in various historical listings as being located in Great Saxham. This is because there was a small change to the boundary between Risby & Great Saxham. More historical information about it can be found at suffolk.camra.org.uk/pub/831
