17th-century village pub reopened in August 2025 under new management. The bar area is spacious whilst a restaurant area dominates the rear. Three hand-pumped beers are on offer in winter and four in summer. The guest beers normally alternate between Woodfordes Wherry and Adnams bitter.

Historic Interest

Tastefully re-modelled 17th cent. coaching inn (with a 16th century core) retaining many interesting features. In 1855 was listed as Golden Bear & 1912 as the Bolden Boar. Photographs of this pub and more historical information about it can be found at suffolk.camra.org.uk/pub/319
