This Pub is Permanently Closed

This was a back street local, catering primarily for local residents and office workers. One large room with a curved bar, lots of wood paneling, two fireplaces, burnished copper table tops, and discrete lighting. A pleasantly located, quiet pub. Many years ago this was a Whitbread pub with three real ales and a then rare traditional cide. In 2013 the owners submitted a planning application to convert to flats but subsequently withdrew the application. They then closed the pub and in November 2013 were granted planning permission to convert to flats.
