Reopened on Monday November 19th 2018 for the first time as a pub and not just a late night bar, located on Nelson Square which houses a War Memorial and garden as well as a statue of the world famous Samual Crompton-inventor of the Spinning Mule. The drinking area is a single large and open plan space with multiple TV's with a long bar to the right of the entrance. The four handpumps on the bar seem to have stopped serving real ales, even though they are successfully sold elsewhere on Nelson Square. An outdoor drinking area with a smoking shelter is to the side of the pub. There is an extensive Vodka/Gin and Rum menu to choose from. The able bodied toilets are some 29 steps upstairs with the ladies featuring a 'double occupancy cubicle' so conversations may continue if and when the need arises!
