Historic Interest
In May 1981 this was a Tetley Keg pub. It was not listed in the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide as it only sold keg beer. However by September 1989 it was selling Tetley Mild and Bitter (H) and was visited on a Pub crawl on September 19th. It continued to sell cask Tetley's and was included in the 1991 and 1996 Good Beer Guide. It was included in the 1992 Great North Western Beer Festival Programme as selling Tetley bitter and Dark Mild (H). By April 1997 Tetley's put the pub up for sale. By the end of the century the pub had reverted to only selling keg beer which continued until it closed despite the Traditional Hand Pulled Beer signs on the outside.
