Historic Interest

Delicensed 17/04/13 landlady was Selina Stokes and owner Enterprise Inns. In May 1981 it was a Whitbread Keg pub called the Hare & Hounds. The pub was included as the Hare & Hounds in the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide as selling Chesters Mild and Bitter (H). The Church Inn was previously at 56 Church St but that was renamed New Inn! By September 1993 it was selling Boddingtons Bitter and was visited on a Little Lever Pub Crawl on September 23rd. By 1998 the pub was owned by Enterprise Inns and only sold Keg beer, even though the signs outside said otherwise.
