Historic Interest

Listed in John Stotts 1977 Guide to Good Beer in Bolton as selling Boddingtons Bitter and Mild (E), with TV, darts, dominoes, New, functional. The pub was listed in the selective 1980 Greater Manchester Beer Guide. In 1982 it was a Boddingtons pub serving Mild and Bitter by electric pumps. It was in the Good Beer Guide from 1982 to 1985. A Branch social was held here on 25th July 1982. In August 1986 Mild was 66p and Bitter 69p. The pub was listed in the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide as selling Boddingtons Mild and Bitter (H). The pub was refurbished 1n 1989 and the lounge swapped places with the tap room. On 18/01/82 the Boddingtons Bitter was 46p a pint.
