Real ale was discontinued November 2021. Large, mostly open-plan food-led pub. Although emphasis is on carvery & pizza (also available to take away), in addition, there is a decent selection of alternatives such as breakfasts, baguettes, desserts, coffees etc. Drinkers can find sanctuary from diners in a comfortable, sizable separate bar, with a pool table, dart board & sports TV. Some craft keg, e.g. Brewdog. DJ most Saturdays, multiple-choice buzzer quiz night Thursdays. Easily accessible using public transport, particularly bus (7 & 205 stop directly opposite). Open for food from 8am (bar opens 10am).
