Lively bar which opened in November 2022 in what had most recently been Temple of Muses. The two real ales on opening reduced to ne and then none due to 'lack of demand' but they hope to restore cask sometime in the future. The downstairs bar is tastefully decorated, mostly in shades of grey; there's a large stand-up area in front of the bar with seating to one side and in the slightly raised area further back. Three TV screens are mainly used for showing sport. Upstairs is a function room which accesses a roof terrace with views of the Town Hall. Live music at weekends. Owned by the Eaden family, including Nicky who was a Barnsley FC footballer of some renown - hence his framed shirts on the walls. This was one of the first pubs in Barnsley to be listed in the Good Beer Guide in 1975.
