Plain but smart after a refurbishment. Two real ales are regularly offered after a period a few years ago as a fizz pub (mid 2005). The emphasis is on catering to a clientèle of local drinkers and a pool table and Sky/BT Sports are offered as entertainment in the bar area. The pub has a late licence on Fridays and Saturdays and there are regular events such as quizzes and live music. There are quieter nooks and crannies to the each side of the bar and the building possesses a considerable amount of local and historical character. While not aspiring to be a destination ale pub, the Bell is making serious efforts to promote quality beer and has staged regular beer festivals in its garden in the May Bank Holiday in recent years.
Locally valued therefore listed as an asset of community value.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers (Varies) and 0 regular beers.
