Situated in a beautiful village on the banks of the River Luce, this picturesque hotel has well-kept gardens by the river. The pub no longer sells draught real ale, but bottle conditioned beer may be available occasionally. Home-cooked, freshly-prepared food is served. This is a popular stopping-off point for walkers on the Southern Upland Way and the hotel offers a luggage transfer service.

Reopened as a community owned pub on 23 May 2023.

Bar hours shown are for the snug bar in Spring from the website but photo of sign says that the establishment is open from 11am.
