This Pub is Closed Long Term
Once home to the Old Foreigner Brewery, a single barrel plant established in May 2007, this tiny 400-year-old former drovers' inn occupies a listed building known as The Lodge due to its former Masonic use. The hotel stands on the Castle Trail between Kildrummy and Corgarff Castles and is close to the Lecht Ski Centre. An extensive menu of local produce is available all day until 9pm. Real ale, previously from mainly Inveralmond Brewery, are complemented by a changing range of malt whiskies and Belgian beers. Future is uncertain, as the hotel was recently closed again and was up for sale/auction in September 2012. Best to check by phone if travelling but worth calling in if in the area.
