For more information contact 01727 337 863 or on press@camra.org.uk
Beer-lovers can nominate a ‘lockdown hero’ – someone who has gone the extra mile to help others during lockdown – to win a free American craft beer tasting, with brews included.
The tasting will be run by Lotte Peplow, Craft Beer Ambassador to Europe for the Brewers’ Association at 6pm on 12 May. It will be hosted in the Red (On)Lion, CAMRA’s new virtual pub set up to combat loneliness during lockdown.
There are 15 spaces currently up for grabs, and participants can be nominated via CAMRA’s social media channels (@CAMRA_Official) using the hashtag #PullingTogether.
Successful entries will receive the following super high–quality American craft beers free of charge:
- The Bronx Brewery | Well Earned Pilsner
- Rogue Ales | Honey Kölsch
- Oskar Blues Brewery | One-Y IPA
- Port City Brewing Co | Essential Pale Ale
They will be asked to purchase the fifth beer, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co | Pale Ale themselves, which is widely available from supermarkets, independent stores and on-line retailers.
Lotte Peplow is a Certified Cicerone, Beer Sommelier and American craft beer guru. She will talk lucky participants through the flavours, styles and brewing techniques of the above beers while throwing in snippets of American craft beer history and knowledge.
Lotte says: “This is a great opportunity to say thank you to the NHS, key workers and even licensees and brewers who are going above and beyond during lockdown. Join me in this one-off opportunity to learn more about the exciting flavours and styles dominating the American craft beer market.”
Enter here but hurry, there are only 15 spaces available and nominations close on Friday 1 May!
