Considered one of the UK’s foremost experts on both beer and travel, Tim Webb will be available to talk through the findings of his recent publication Beer Breaks in a special zoom event taking place on Thursday 19 May at 7 pm.

Beer Breaks features over 30 unique travel destinations boasting a brilliant beer scene – including Barcelona, Berlin, Bristol, Copenhagen, Edinburgh, Madrid, Porto, Tallin and Vienna, among others. Each entry includes selected tourist highlights, food recommendations, itineraries for first-time visitors, accommodation and travel options. In addition, readers will find bespoke beer bars, cafés, restaurants and taphouses where they can experience the very best of each city’s beer scene, compiled by a world-renowned beer expert.

To hear directly from the author and start planning their next great trip, beer lovers can register for this free event here.

Author Tim Webb says: “I loved compiling this book, as I got to choose surprise destinations and venues that I know will delight.  Most big flavour beers and top beer venues have survived the pandemic and are out there waiting to be tried. So, as COVID restrictions lift, it’s time to feed that pent-up urge to travel, and get some really fresh beer experiences.”

For those keen to sample some of the international brews before they pack their bags, Beer Merchants has put together a unique beer pack featuring seven beers from the book for just £18.83 (with a 10% discount through the CAMRA site). Featured beers include Blanche de Bruxelles, Schlenkerla Marzen, Lost and Grounded Keller Pils Cans, Pilot Blond, Garage Beer Co Ocata, Omnipollo Levon and Pohjala – Suvila. These cases are available to purchase here.
